Our reviews, comparisons, and recommendations are based on hands-on testing and impartial analysis. Affiliate relationships never determine which products we review, how we rate them, or where they appear on our site. We do not accept payment for positive coverage. If a product fails our tests, we say so.

Every product we recommend gets hands-on testing in our lab. In 2026 we tested 16 antivirus products across 50 endpoints over 90 days. We update our guides every 30 days to reflect changes in pricing, features, and detection rates. Products we have not personally tested are clearly labeled as sponsored or informational.

We maintain affiliate relationships with security vendors including but not limited to Bitdefender, Norton, Avast, Malwarebytes, NordVPN, and Surfshark. This list may change over time. We disclose affiliate relationships within individual reviews and comparisons where applicable.

From time to time we may publish sponsored content. All sponsored content is clearly labeled as such at the top of the page. Sponsored content does not influence our product ratings, comparison rankings, or editorial recommendations elsewhere on the site.
